Flames. Flames on the SIDE OF MY FACE.
They replaced the special soft score theme music from "The Long Goodbye". I should have expected this, since the theme song in general has been changed, but I didn't and I was jarred by the loudness. Guess I won't be throwing away my old tapes after all. (Or, does anyone know if the TBS reruns use the real music or not? If they do I'll just DVR it and burn it to DVD that way sometime.)
So, yes, I did get DC. And Alias, ER and ELR. The only thing they didn't have was GG. So I ordered that on Amazon.
Also, did anyone else notice how damn grainy the opening to TLG was? Wow. I can't recall if it was that way on TV or not, but it was downright distracting here on the DVDs.
I also can't remember if Mitch was always off-beat with the singing (I think he might have been a bit), but he was way off with the new "Drift Away". LOL. Which was a alright version. I won't complain about it, I mean, it could have been worse. *cough*UncleKracker*cough*
*whispers*
I'm also afraid that since I was endeared to Ken Marino on VM, I won't hate him as much here as I should - and that's just sad. Same goes for Jennifer Morrison, who is of course now on House.
Anyway, my BFF and her little Turniphead went with me, so the day in general was good despite my earlier (and current) grumblings. Heh. Speaking of the BFF, I picked up the People's 50 Most Beautiful mag in the store and flipped to Josh Holloway and showed her and she had the gall to actually say "ew". EW! Can you believe it? Someone "ewwwwed" seeing JH. What's the world coming to these days? Heh.
ETA:
I just opened my ER set and *squee* they didn't put this season on double sided discs. Rock on. That makes me insanely happy. Now I just wish S4 was out, where the wonderful Rocket Romano shows up. :p
