I swear guys, I need a facebook fast. It's always making me crazy. Recently, this post has been making the rounds and driving me insane.
♥ She packs. She moves. She follows. Why? What for? How come? You may think she's lost her mind. Actually, she's lost her heart. It was stolen from her by a man. A man who puts duty first, who salutes the flag, and who's boots in the doorway remind her that as long as he is her military husband...she will remain his military wife. ......Share this if you're proud of your man in the military ♥
If you've posted this on your status, please know, I don't hate you. I promise. I just look at this differently than most people do. First off, I did not marry a military man. I married a fellow college student. After we were married he joined ROTC. When that did not work out, we both decided that he should enlist in the Navy. This was not a decision we made easily as I am an Air Force brat. I know the life. But we discussed it at length. We prayed about it. We came to a decision that this was the best career move for our family. And so my husband joined the Navy.
I'll not go into the many reasons we decided this, but I promise you, duty to our country was not high on the list. What was high on the list? Our family. As such, my husband's first duty is always to our family. Does he enjoy his job? Most days. Does he deploy when they tell him to? Of course! Do we think this is the right place for our family to be? Yes! But I assure you that this higher patriotic symbol is not the big reason my husband joined the military. Does he fight for our (collective) freedom as a nation? Sure. But the thing he fights most for is our family. So I'm a military wife because I chose to be, from the very beginning.
