Goings on

Well, I've got the car running. Air filter was the problem. (It's always the smallest things.) Now I should be able to run to Tampa after I get my money and go see Mike and Bekah for a day or two. Honestly, I need the drive too... driving seems to make me feel better, and considering I can't find any sort of psych resources that 1) either cater to or at least know what the hell to do for a transperson and 2) take Medicaid or otherwise accomodate low-income patients... yeah, I need all the help I can get in that regard.

I've also got a week's worth of comics in the buffer for once, and I'm going to try to draw another week's worth to get me by if I need it. At this rate, I can restart Replica Saga: Decades and launch Awake Road and Replica Saga: Red Zone by the end of March or early April.

Unfortunately, my finances are looking very bleak this upcoming month. I'm looking at a car insurance payment of $50 (it'd be far worse if I had the car registered here in Louisiana, but luckily for me, it's still registered in Colorado), my cellphone for the month will be $50 (maybe I should see if I can change it to a pay-as-you-go plan, seeing as I've got about $150 accumulated on it so far since I rarely use the thing, but I like having it around if I break down), my meds will cost $90 to get me through to the middle of March (Medicaid won't cover them, and the $90 is only for the Estrofem and Spiro), and the cable bill (which I pay in lieu of rent) will be $90 this upcoming month. Add in server costs for the webcomic, and travel costs this month, and it's not looking good. Also, I have to try to get a new copy of my birth certificate, and I don't know how much that'll cost. Well, I have an idea, but still.

Little bit of good news... I haven't cut for about 2 months now, and I've been clean of drugs for about a month. I'm still drinking, but nowhere near as bad as I was - 2 or 3 glasses of wine a day as compared to binge drinking.

comic, car, tara, trans stuff, drug abuse, harming, mental health
