IT'S WONDERFUL. I took Ancient Lit last semester, which meant the Iliad and the Odyssey and the Aeneid, plus a ton of Greek and Roman drama. It was really cool. I feel like such a dork, but I love going to school. College >>>>>>>> high school. ♥!!

Gawd, Beowulf. I just got done with the Beowulf-to-Utopia leg of English Major Boot Camp and am now starting on Shakespeare-to-1788.

Beowulf...I never could keep track of who was who past a certain point. But SGGK? ak;dsfj SO GOOD. And has quite the interesting series of papers on females on the feminine that I want to write on it.

Faerie Queene + Paradise Lost (both of which I also get to read this term) = SO GOOD as well.

Also, OE sounds so freakin' cool.

I've read a few of the books, but most of them are things I've either read partially or wanted to read but haven't been able to. I'm psyched. ♥

IT DOES. XDDDD

One of the days of last term's class, we were reading some of the stuff writte around the time of Beowulf (not all that much, really).

On thing she had us read was "Caedmon's Hymn" and we sat there in class and she taught us, line by line, how to read it in OE. It was awesome

It's really too bad she was a fail!teacher otherwise...

Ooooh. =D That sounds so awesome! *envy!*

I'm so grateful for the good teachers I've had. I haven't had a single terrible teacher since sophomore year of high school. Some mediocre ones, yes, but all my college profs have been incredible. ♥

They're NEVER on any of the Twilight stuff out there. :< Which is a shame, because they're the only characters I really liked. Well, I liked Alice a bit, too. She had potential.

ISN'T IT. ♥ I LOVE MY ENGLISH CLASSES~~~

Yup. Well, I read through everything scanslated a while back and enjoyed it. The characters-looking-the-same was a little trying, but I got used to it after a while. And there's only one girl, I think. The rest of them are men in drag.

XDDD That's what I like best about these classes -- they give me time and incentive to read these books. ♥

Oh my goodness, I will never be able to read Beowulf again after the most honored soldier taking over the world deal.

Your year sounds awesome! :D
