another update, mostly for myself:
at the hotel rex in san francisco. this city is so crazy. all the streets are confusing, but it's pretty. this hotel is really cute and reminds me a lot of tulip inn little paris.
tonight's show was incredible because it was the very last on this very long tour. and you could tell. it had such a laid back atmosphere. peaches was wonderfully entertaining. liked her setlist. she also had JD from le tigre doing keys and samantha (i think that's her name) from hole doing drums. recognized her but can't remember her name. think it's samantha. anyhow... at the end of the set, during fuck the pain away, she ran off stage and right into the audience. she sang at people walking by who had no idea who she was, sat on people's laps and drank some guy's beer. it was great. then bauhaus came out and their guitarist also left stage and walked around. it was so weird. then peaches came out during one of bauhaus's songs and sang with peter murphy, while wiggling around really sexually. but she IS peaches.
then trent's crew spent like fifteen minutes onstage hugging each other and saying their goodbyes. the setlist was similar to last night, but we didn't get even deeper and peter murphy did two songs with the band instead of one. very relaxed show. trent was cracking jokes that were actually kind of funny and once again introduced the band and once again jeordie received the most applause. cute. there's lots to tell but i'm sleepy. i guess the highlights were jeordie's dances (which have gotten weirder, if that's possible) and trent's friendly banter. i don't think i've ever used the word banter. did i spell it right?
so now we're here and this era of trent is officially over. he keeps promising an album soon so we'll see.
