notes for my own benefit
i'm in a motel room in lebec, california. it's probably the nicest motel room ever.
saw nin at the verizon amphitheatre in irvine. kind of a crappy venue, but i liked it somehow.
this show kicked cabazon and vegas's asses. for real. the set list was amazing and the visuals were fantastic. trent worked the sexy thing for all it was worth during "closer." there was far more emphasis on his form, playing with shadows and stuff.
somewhat damaged was amazing live. less choppy than i thought it would be.
down in it was good this time because i got hear jeordie's "rain rain go away" loud and clear
la mer led right into into the void and it was perfect. that's all i could think at the moment. "it's perfect." i didn't know it was coming but the transition was flawless and just...ah! into the void sounded amazing live. aaron totally fucked up in la mer and trent had to make up for it but he made a show of it. kind of like "well obviously it isn't MY fault."
it was cute. trent started being all chatty and introduced his band and talked about how talented they are and blah blah blah. lol. and talked about finishing an album "soon."
ok i'm really tired. three in the morning. and i drove here.
