WARNING: VERY GRAPHICALLY GORY.
I really have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote this. It's totally OOC for me. However, it's a very well-written piece of prose if I do say so myself. Totally unrelated to any of my fandoms.
Blood.
Gushing past his hands. The shrapnel had pierced an artery, and her heart was pumping her blood out of her body and the ground was turning red and they were both getting soaked and the bleeding wouldn’t stop. She gasped for air, her body crying out for oxygen, but the blood that delivered it normally was gone, flowing to the ground through the hands of her best friend, trying to save her life.
“Don’t give up,” he cried as her eyes began to close.
“Sorry.”
The bloodflow slowed, but the artery still gaped open, blood now only oozing out. The heart had stopped.
She was gone.
