If it is usual for the Nexus to be unusual, what does that mean?

I believe I will avoid the Nexus for a while. There is not much time remaining, now, regardless.

My alternate is now in somewhat better shape than I. Also Shadow found an unusual book in the Nexus that he decided to give to me as a 'get well' present.

That was a strange experience, and quite unusual behavior from Shadow. Normally he is not given to such pranks. Still, perhaps he is right that I am dwelling on what is to come too much. It will come whether I am saddened by its approach or not, so I should attempt to make the most of the time that remains.
