ready...fla-a-i-i-l...su-ta-a-ru-to! (Ruri no Shima SP with a bit of KR OOO)

If there is anything about the Ruri no Shima SP I'm envious of, it's the setting. (Surprised it's not Ryu? Or the actress for Ruri in it? XD) It makes me want to hightail it to some undiscovered although I think that's not highly possible RP island for some such getaway from the busy city life and just enjoy nature and the sand and the sea and everything else in it.
I watched the SP after working one weeknight because I thought I was all in it for my fave J-actor since he was young, Kamiki Ryunosuke, but I ended up judging the whole SP wrong and instead, enjoyed the picturesque-ness of the whole thing. Who wouldn't fall in love with that really pretty island? Seriously? That and because I thought Ogata Ken was just as awesome as the rest of the cast. I also got to see the uber pretty, Konishi Manami whom I've seen first on Orange Days but never really liked her there for some reason. I was Shibasaki-Tsumabuki biased, then. But not now, they've already broken up. Which is just sad. :( (Masaharu-Shibasaki could work, too---their Galileo chemistry was awesome!) Hmn...I still love the combo but I somehow end up following Kou more than Satoshi. But I'd love to see Tsumabuki Satoshi's cameo on the Fast and the Furious. Whichever of the films in that franchise he came out on, anyway.
True to myself being not a plot killer to those who haven't seen the special, I'm not saying anything about it. Hmn...the series is just as enticing but I think I'll stick with the SP. One dramatic SP is enough compared to a legion of it as it'll only end with me crying with every touching scene on it. It hardly matters now that I've seen some clips via youtube of Sakurada Dori's appearance on one of its episodes. He plays a meanie kid then and it still somehow puzzles or frustrates me how he keeps getting those kinds of roles---three times now, if you've been following his appearances even just on Dori-clips on youtube. Clone Baby was third, you can only guess the second. XD That series with Aya Ueto, yes. Either way, back to Ruri no Shima SP. I think this was shot around the same time Ryu was in Tantei Gakuen Q as he is just about the same age in that series as here.
Over all idea about the film is it's realistic, somehow. I like how the sub story they had on Shion (Kamiki Ryunosuke) and his father worked well in it. It makes you pity Shion all the more for getting in between that situation. And then how they kept misunderstanding that Shion's father liked Sanae-sensei (Konishi Manami) was also quite funny. They never really developed that notion either way. And Yuzo (Ogata Ken) is just admirable as Ruri's father, although he's not her true father. Ah yes, rest in peace, Ogata-san. You were awesome though I only got to see two of your works, this and Kaze no Garden. :( If you find this post interesting and would like to check out the SP, it's a good one so go ahead. :)

My guilty pleasure at the moment, Kamen Rider OOO.
It's excruciating to wait for the next episodes week after week after week but there's not much we can do about it as this is still airing in its homeland. But yep, he finally appears---Kamen Rider Birth. The second hero for this series and he has a name, Date Akira. And he and Eiji would get along together well because they are modern day nomads...? I suppose, anyway. I get this feeling how it's really not supposed to be Akira who's Kamen Rider Birth but that it should be Gotou-kun. But we'll see when the movie with KR W comes out with the next few episodes.
If there is anything else I love about this KR series aside from the humor and the lightness of it, it's the wardrobe. They have such colorful, totally laid back clothes in there I could sink on and be in heaven with. XD But I suppose that's an exaggeration.
Unloading more KR Decade episodes for more downloads to come. I think there'll be more to come, anyway. Ah well, weekend work, here I come. Sigh.

Jdrama Signs, come now because heaven knows Amuse-fangirls need their dose of Sakurada Dori-, Uehara Takuya-, Terada Takuya-, Hirama Soichi- and et. al-dancing. 8DDD Not at all sure about the singing part but I think them singing the theme would be...kind of...interesting.
