Everything here are probably my favorite pieces. Now, anyway. Most of them are from my aunt who loves to shop, too. I have a lot of them who're now nurses in the US and they often end up sending me stuff they buy but they never wear and a good thing, too, because then I can experiment with the pieces. Only the vintage scarf that's been used as belt, the vintage sling bag (which I use to death these days) and the wedges are personally bought.
The pants are probably my only wide-legged denims there are around just as I have only one pair of plain black skinny jeans. Jeans and any top are the usual default when you're staying in a place like ours. It's common to see a lot of people wearing those things here. However I'd be totally happy to ditch them, the jeans, for the heat. It did rain in the afternoon so I think it was better I didn't go out on a pair of shorts? Weather around here sure goes from hot to rainy that it's totally crazy.
Right. Today, we hung out at Rai Rai Ken in the Lim Ketkai Mall and ate ramen. My favorite now except I didn't really end up liking their shiyo ramen much. I think that one from the Suvarnabhumi Airport my aunt and I ate were much, much better. Ramen Tai would also be pretty awesome-r than Rai Rai Ken, I suppose, given they serve authentic Japanese cuisine. Then also had gyoza. The only thing missing then was beer but the restaurant didn't serve any so I ended up with iced tea. True to what's usual, we stayed quite long there only to catch up with one another (i.e chitchat) and then headed out to check the new Marks and Spencer. Prices out there are totally dear but their pieces seem fine. I can find a few good ones. What else? I got told off on using my camera on What a Girl Wants (so sorry!) which is my favorite local boutique to date. I did, finally, get the one pair of suede, cutout shorts (let's not call them culottes. I'm not sure I like them being called that...) in army green I'd been eying for several days now---weeks actually. Then spent the rest of my money on two books in the SM Booksale, one is called The Art of Doing Nothing--it's small, perfect for my(lazy/procrastinating)self and loaded with really good pictures---and the other is by Koji Suzuki (The Ring, Dark Water) which is Paradise. You can always find cool hardbound books at the trade section of Booksale. They aren't as costly as the paperback contemporary novels a lot of people frequent. You can get interesting street-smart-ish books for merely 50 Php. Some are even 30 Php. Another good thing is I made a new friend who's also a fan of anything Japan. :) She speaks Japanese faster than I do, however. Only thing that didn't work out right was searching for my favorite blank DVD-Rs. Apparently, they got sold out for the week or month, whichever works.
Hmn...that 8th book/manga on Beck was very enticing, though. I didn't end up getting it. I probably won't be reading it anyway. Unless I actually completed the whole set. I love how Booksale has loads of manga from Tokyopop. I'm not a big fan of other Jap-English translated mangas aside from those of Tokyopop's.
Fun day ended and now we're, yep, back to work. Yep, back to work. It's 8 o'clock and it's my usual deadline. Ah well...

PS
I'm missing thrifting. I haven't gone out to do it since some November date last year. I'll probably get into it sometime...soon.
