Bringing in the New Year!

Last year David, Dahlia and I hiked up Fall Mountain. This time we went to the Greendale campground in the Green Mountain National Forest to go hiking. Well, strike that. I think she was sort of running through the snow and something caught her attention so she drew herself up short. It was a great moment.

I would say "glad we have no snow here" because we haven't (this was up in the mountains of Vermont; where David's parents were they had no snow and in Syracuse we don't either)...but we're expecting 6-10 inches tonight. *sigh* So much for our awesome nearly snowless winter! I guess it had to end sometime.

I don't think anything looks more amazing than woodland in the snow and I LOVE snowy roads to drive on - well until we get stuck or something lol.

I don't mind the snow, but these were mostly ice with some snow on the edges of the road. Definitely not something we were willing to drive up just for fun, especially with fairly big ravines on the side at points!
