Christmas Post

... Even though it's only 6 pm of the 24th over here now.

Anyway, it is Christmas vacation still, and I'm spending it by lounging around the house, either playing my DS or surfing the 'net on my laptop. Also I'm stuffing myself with my mom's homemade pasta and fruit salad at the moment. At this rate, there probably won't be space left for the Christmas Eve dinner...

Oh well.

Another thing... I've been wanting to have a massive update of my fics before New Year's. Actually, I tend to do that every year only to get half of my desired goal done. Why? It's because "I'm always distracted by the shiny", simply put.

This year, it comes in the form of the following:

1) Starting to read the manga of Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (And I reread the chapters nearly every day even though I've gone past 200 chapters already and actually I haven't really 'finished' it yet, per se, I'm not reading the newest arc till it's over)
2) That DVD of Kyou Kara Maou! (I've always wanted to finish the series... for how many years now?)
3) My mom and sis using their authority to command me to Downloading new games like the newest in the Mystery Case Files series, 13th Skull. There's also Wedding Dash 4-Ever, Bookworm Adventures Volume 2, Cake Mania To the Max and another new Mystery PI as well, Stolen in San Francisco (My family's taste in games tend to revolve around 3 genres at the most: hidden object, time management/dash and marble popper like Zuma...)
4) My mom and dad's advanced Christmas gift to me being the newest installation of the Pokemon Ranger series--- Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs. AND OH SWEET HOROWITZ IS IT AWESOME. I got it on Sunday and I've been playing it non-stop in the last 3 days. I got it on Sunday and finished the whole game (complete with the Wi-Fi missions that can be downloaded for it) on Wednesday... Yet I have the urge to play it again. I do tend to do that, that is, starting a new game on Pokemon games I've already finished at the most, but in my "re-runs" as I call it, I play the game straight without saving. It's usually a sort of simulation on my part to completely analyze the game. If I were less lazy I could write game guides, actually. xD

General opinion in the Pokemon fandom tend to dislike Pokemon spin-off games like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (PMD) series and the Pokemon Ranger series but in my case, I'm actually quite fond of them. The original Pokemon games are those about catching 'em all and winning badges, like Pokemon FireRed, HeartGold, Ruby, Diamond etc. But I like the spin-offs because their storylines tend to be much deeper and more interactive and oftentimes tearjerking (PMD) or action-packed (Ranger). I actually cry a little at PMD's endings and Ranger always has me wanting more.

Ahem. Anyway... because of these, I can barely finish my writing goals and I have all these half-finished fics or chapters lounging around my laptop's MS Word...

1) Finish the half-done last chapter of my Code Geass fanfic 1,000 Cranes under a Flame Tree
2) Finish the 3/4-done second chapter of In Spirit and Heart
3) Finish the 3/4-done second chapter of Trapped Thoughts: Spirits and Fusions (and damn, is it really close to being done....)
4) Finish the 2/3-done 7th chapter of Fusion Hearts, along with beta-ing the first 6 chapters
5) Finish and organize those scattered one-shot fics in my documents
6) Organize the three Johan's past-centric, post-series fic ideas I've scribbled at the back of my school notebook before it catches up with my actual school notes

Usually, for me to actually finish something, I often impose a condition on myself. I commonly use, "I must not play any of my new downloaded games till I at least finish a story chapter". Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. I am horrible and lazy when it comes to these things.

Sigh...

Oh and cheeky_eyes ? If you ever read this post... Sorry for not replying to the usual e-mail. I swear, those four shiny things way up there are to blame. Really. xD

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
