inspiration sandwich
so the other day i was chatting with my coworkers, when one of the girls asked me how long it would take to bike 20 kms. i said 45 minutes to an hour at a leisurely pace. apparently she's going to buy a bike and bike into the city on days that she's in the office. she lives out of the city on a farm that her and her boyfriend are soon-to-own. i was really impressed because it would take a lot of dedication and want to do that. but then another coworker, a middle-aged overweight man in the office who lives in delisle (or is it dalmeny? one of those), said that he's thinking of trying to bike to work as well. he lives about 35 kms outside the city! i haven't even said anything to anybody about them biking to work... no preaching at all. they always ask me about my endeavours on the bicycle and about climate change, but this is all on their own. leading by example is hard, but so worth it!
