The last couple of days have been good. I didn't do a lick of work the entire weekend, nor did I touch my books till the weekend was over. And that felt normal. Natural.
Had the first good night at the end of last week so I felt better. For once (in the week), my head didn't feel like it was going my explode, neither did my eardrums. I could breathe. What a difference it made. The meds must be working.
Felt so good that I played a short game of badminton on the basketball court while watching the guys play basketball. Got to know a couple more ppl, which was nice. Internet, my home away from home. Then dinner (no more oily food!).
Needed to get more summer clothing so I went to the clothes market with Chia on Saturday. Ended up with.. one shirt. Did like the look of another 2 t-shirts, but the seller refused to bargain, it was a boy's shirt so it was really big and it definitely wasn't worth that much! Another shirt.. the seller started with a ridiculously high price for an obviously CRAP quality t-shirt so I didn't even bother bargaining it down.
Sunday.. I had my teh tarik! GRIN. Went to Kafe P with Chia and Ly; company was great (they did get along which I thought they would, but wasn't sure since they were both meeting each other for the first time).. food was alright.. so-so. But the teh tarik was GOOD. I think I just wasn't all that hungry so the food wasn't all that appealing and the rendang was rather wet. Still, the teh tarik guy was very friendly, even if he didn't do any proper tricks. I asked him whether he ever joined the contest before, and he said, "Mesti ada-lah..". LOL. A little pricey alright. Might check out a couple of others before I decide on which one to bring my Japanese friends to. The main pulling gimmick of this place is the teh tarik.
But, I had an ace day today! Classes were the usual, but after classes, I had a walk around the uni opposite, in another attempt to look for the rock-wall (and I bumped into this one teacher AGAIN! - I'm always bumping into her all over the place, and I was only in her class for 3 days! She was my teacher from my first class) and this time, I FOUND IT! I asked the ppl climbing there whether I needed to join etc, how much it was, whether they understood English.. Got the info I needed (need to go back tomorrow to ask the guy in charge since he wasn't there when I went) PLUS they are quite fluent in English. Score! WOohOOOO!!! *esctatic* went thru the whole, "where are you from, can u speak chinese, your chinese is quite alright, pronunciation is fine etc".
I'm running there after class tomorrow!
Oh ya, also solved the mystery of the ppl carrying those empty thermoses down the road.. saw the "开水间" and all those ppl filling their bottles/thermoses with hot water.
