Lazy days are here again
Have been rather tired and lazy lately. A relatively chilled weekend.. went to Temple of Heaven with my ex-classmate and her friends, but they mostly spoke Thai amongst themselves.. gotta go out with either English speaking ppl, or a more diverse group so that they can't converse among themselves in a different language. Tourist map sucks. I was comparing them in the bookshop.. most of the streets aren't on the map (and when looking for places like the rock-climbing one, I need one that can sort of show me more detail, esp if they're in the middle of nowhere) and there are no bus routes on it. I've got a Lonely Planet Beijing book and am now looking for a China guidebook, any recommendations? Also looking for places to hike to/do something outdoors during the Labour week break.
Ooo.. I just found someone who does indoor rock-climbing in my class today! :) Have to persuade her to come climb with me. Chia refuses to do anything other than bouldering coz she doesn't like heights and the bouldering walls are shorter. And I prefer the taller walls, the one with the rope.
Oh yea, do you know any good Malaysian restaurants here? I need to treat my Jap friends to one... we had dinner at the Jap restaurant in Xijiao hotel which they insisted on paying for! (was recommended by the girl whose father owns a sushi restaurant) Now I need to find a nice Malaysian restaurant to bring them to...
