Lazy days are here again

Have been rather tired and lazy lately. A relatively chilled weekend.. went to Temple of Heaven with my ex-classmate and her friends, but they mostly spoke Thai amongst themselves.. gotta go out with either English speaking ppl, or a more diverse group so that they can't converse among themselves in a different language. I've been to the Temple of Heaven before.. I remember now. Well, I remembered once I was IN there. I was really fascinated by that game the ppl were playing in the park.. have posted the pic of them playing it on my DA and Kodak. Dreamoblivion's right.. I'm getting really really restless.. haven't done any physical activity since my last climbing session in London. I have found a couple of climbing places online and am going to check out this place called Boulder Bar this weekend. Sounds really cool. Bouldering + Bar + Indian/Mexican curries. mmmm... Only snag is that it's in the middle of nowhere and I have to work out how to get there. Perhaps it'll be my new regular haunt.

Met up with Chia on Sunday. We went to this Jap restaurant not too far from school and coincidentally bumped into KS there! Seems like most ppl here are here to bum around. The Malaysians, that is. My classmates are super serious about learning Mandarin.. some of them are actually sponsored by their company. One Korean classmate is thinking of doing an undergrad degree here and has to pass the HSK exam first. Wow, I feel aimless.

Sandy: I finally met up with your friends on Tuesday over lunch. I'm the only sucker in 30 hour week.. sigh. We were all trying to trace back the links/connections.. KL's pretty small!

Schedule for the week: Homework, homework, more homework. So many new words to learn! I can't believe my classmates in London used to complain about the workload. Throw them here and they'll appreciate how easy they have it there. Meet KS+Chia for yum cha session. Dinner at Jap restaurant with ex-classmates. Ladies night dinner Sat night with new classmates (I'm impressed by my classmate's initiative in organising the dinner). Bouldering on Sunday. Maybe squeeze in another climbing session Friday after class, if I'm really sien of work. Xiang Shan Gong Yuan??? (not sure about going for this since it's with the Thai group again.. diversify diversify diversify...)

Oh ya. I was very amused last night when my classmate slid this note under my door after I sms-ed her in pinyin since I don't have Chinese font on my phone.. and she couldn't understand so she wrote me a note in Chinese. (she's Japanese and can't really speak English) She lives in the same dorm as me. Thus started a let's-slide-notes-under-each-others'-doors-because-we're-too-shy-to-knock-on-the-door game. Felt like I was doing extra homework because I took so long to reply to her note! Had to refer to the dictionary a couple of times too. For some reason, I just felt like I was back in school.

Weather here is really windy and sandstormy.. sigh. It SUCKS. The cold bug is going around. When I stepped outside yesterday, for a brief moment, I thought it was snowing.. there were loads of weird, cotton-ny like stuff floating around in the air.

Bought "The Little Prince" in Chinese! Dual transalation book (English and Chinese). So at least I have something to read now. Also bought one of those little doggie books I collect. I'm beginning to appreciate how fantastic UK's maps are. Seriously. They're the best! China maps on the other hand.. have no index, no gridlines, have tiny tiny Chinese characters written ALL OVER THE PLACE... It took me a good 45 minutes yesterday to locate the GENERAL area of the bouldering place I want to go this Sunday. It's as if you need to know where the place is, to look for it on the map. Which kind of defeats the purpose of a map! Jeezzz...
