Fatticus needs to get a grip. Was it really necessary for him to come into the bathroom, prop himself up on the edge of the tub and make food-begging meows at me while I was drying off from the shower? I don't like it when he watches me while I'm in the buff. I can't help but think he's comparing my fur-less-ness to that of a naked mole rat.
Boyfriend has agreed to reteach me the Ving Tsun system. We'll see how it goes, god knows I've been having a problem with the follow through when it comes to exercise.
Speaking of problems, my boobs are driving me insane. Stupid hormones. And I still have not started writing again. Bad, bad Gerri.
One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
Stereotypical Jersey girl (and brunette) Stephanie Plum is out of a job and virtually out of money. Completely desperate she takes a job from her cousin Vinnie catching bail jumpers. Her most lucrative target also happens to be a former flame. Trenton is, after all, a small city. Naivety + danger = hilarity
Hey, I'm a Jersey girl so maybe I'm biased. Evanovich does a fair (okay, a little stereotyped) depiction of Trenton in the early 90's. And I'm a sucker for a strong yet flawed female lead. I'd call it pulp in the sense that this is genre fiction created entirely for easy entertainment. Great beach reading. Not that I've gone to the beach in the last 3 years, but if I had, I'd take a Stephanie Plum book.
