Ideas?

Okay, maybe I'm being overly worried about this - you wouldn't think I'd be concerned about gaining a few pounds given how big I am, but you'd be wrong!

I'm just worried because usually my weight holds pretty steady, and I'm doing my same amount of activity (swimming or roller skating for at least an hour each 2-3x a week, lots of housework and kids-playing-with). But just in this past week I've gained around 5 pounds. I haven't made any big changes in my eating habits, and have actually been trying to be more conscious of sugar and fats, and have been eating vegan about 70% of the time.

Am I just having some kind of crazy PMS water retention, or should I get this checked out?

I'm paranoid because of my Mom's health, and I always freak out that I might have developed diabetes since the last time I was checked, which is probably ridiculous.

So, reality, should I be worried or not?
