My external firewire drive is dead. All 45 gigs of data are locked onto the hard drive with no way for me to get them off. I did some checking around... and it turns out that it is indeed the drive itself that's broken. *hugs* well at lest you still have files uploaded online. So it isn't a total loss.

I hope things work out, and you find a way to get the data recovered without having spend a fortune on it.
