One reason I don't call myself a feminist commonreader is a darn fine blogger in general as well. This post in particular I felt needed to reach more women. Or is it womyn? Wimmin? Get over the spelling OK! I still call our postal carrier a postman and a police officer a policeman, etc. in general unless I am speaking of a specific individual who is obviously female. Phemail? Whatever. :oP
I admit that I prefer the term yoni to vagina, after reading Anne Frye's
Holistic Midwifery A sheath for a sword is such a narrow sexual definition. What about the stuff that comes out of the sheath? What about the power of creation! English should definitely give better choices for describing the female anatomy and yoni is both respectful and feels good in the mouth. However, I was unable to find a yoni page with the definition that I felt good linking to. Hence this paragraph.
Must go study. Have I mentioned that the guy lecturing on my Biology one cd-roms wears a pink shirt- pepto-bismol pink- with a yellow tie? On every single lecture apparently. Faugh.
