Finished Thing of England, a book about how one event can shape an entire life. When Jane was a little girl her father died tragically. The events of the night of his death influence Jane through the rest of her life and her involvement with a carefree couple in England that she meets in the 70s. Questions still remain at the end, but maybe Jane has reached some sort of resolve about herself and the choices she made throughout her life. I particularly wish we would have found out what happened to Jane's friend Colette, a flashy young woman who falls for the wrong man entirely, shattering her ice cool demeanor.
