The Cabin of lost promises
Just thought I ought to post another Cabin chapter so I can get them all up before crimbo! I was very naugth this afternoon and went and watched The Holiday with Mihelle. but Im sure glad I did! Tho I did think i wouldn't stop crying. Jude Law is seriously so scrummy! Cant believe I saw him i the flesh and didnt die! hehe The other 4 rocked as well. Such a great cast and such a lovely story tho a few bits erked me! Over all I did love it tho!
Ok so heres the finish line, which is jsut kinda a stop gap for thenext bit but kinda works. Enjoy.
The earth is warm next to my ear
Insects noise is all that I hear
A magic trick makes the world disappear
The skies are dark, they're dark but they're clear
Dom floats along his life. Day dreaming between shots watching the world go by. His life continues. He manages to avoid Billy at work. The others have taken to ignoring him as well. He shoots his scenes and moves on. It's all gone but somehow he has found peace in it all. It just doesn’t exist, the world in which he lives. But through this his mind is clear. He appreciates all that went on before all he lived through including the dark parts but now he sees clearly into the future.
A distant motorcade and suddenly there's joy
The snow and tickertape blurs all my senses numb
It's like the finish line where everything just ends
The crack of radios seems close enough to touch
The last day comes. Shooting is over. The parties come and go. Dom makes his show at each of them. He even makes conversation with the others. But he doesn’t feel a thing. He puts on his tears, he shows he will miss them all but inside, in his heart he feels nothing.
Dom feels empty. His life is over. His world has left him to pick up the pieces of what little life he has. He holds up away from the world. and time moves on. Life almost seems close enough to touch.
Cold water, cleaning my wounds
A side parade, with a single balloon
I'm done with this, I'm counting to ten
Blue as seas, running to them
Promotion for the film is continues. But slowly they become less and less. A fleeting moment of what was before, a late night talking with Billy. The gang back together. TV shows, parades, but soon the fun has gone the hype is over and with it Dom feels he’s finish he can’t stand this anymore. The show of being friends, he wants to escape it all. To run from them all. He wants to stop the pain and sorrow he feels every time they are together. And after the moment is over, he’s gone.
I feel like I am watching everything from space
And in a minute I hear my name and I wake
I think the finish line's a good place we could start
Take a deep breath, take in all that you could want
Finding something to do caused Dom a problem. At night he would sit and stare watching from above the world pass by. Like in a dream. Nothing could touch him, walking through life. He curls up, hides away slipping beneath the sadness.
But then a phone call, a part in a show. Hawaii? Of course he leaves. A new start a new life and new place to be, away from all he left behind. He draws a line in his life. The end and a new beginning. He can again breath, he can live his life for himself.
