Busy day
An excellent, but tiring day. After riding my bike into work, I had a very busy morning. At lunch time, an architectural and engineering (A&E) firm who wants our business took a bunch of us out to eat at Mt. Fuji. Afterwards, we had a going away party for a contractor co-worker who is heading back to work for her company. Then I did a bunch of other paperwork & rode my bike home. It was a hot, sweaty ride home, and the pool looked really inviting when I got here. So I changed into my trunks and jumped in. I swam for about a half hour, then came in and got dressed and headed out to the local volunteer fire company to see about signing up. Then it was off to the library to pick up a book they had on hold for me, and DVDs of Spaceballs and Das Boot. Since then, I called my mom to tell her I'm headed up to see her next weekend and running the Boilermaker 15K in Utica. I'm not really trained for it, but I feel like racing, and I've wanted to run the Boilermaker since I started running. So I'll run it and turn in a lousy time and have plenty of room for improvement next year.
