Everything wears out eventually

Last night, I discovered one of the hazards of living in a basement apartment. I got out my softball glove and found a growing crust of mold on it. I cleaned it off, but it was still kind of annoying.
The picnic at work was fun, but we had to drive about an hour and a half to where it was (because one of our other offices actually set things up - it was only about a twenty minute drive for them). I got a bit of a sunburn while playing softball, and realized that eventually all sports equipment wears out. The wearing out of my cleats was sudden and surprising, as the sole of one of them almost completely separated from the bottom of the shoe. I also noticed that one of the seams on my batting glove had split. I guess I'll need to replace both eventually.
After our long bus ride back (of which I spent all but about 20 minutes asleep), I got in the Jeep to head home. As I was nearing my exit along NJ 17, I spotted a dollar bill blowing across the road. I pulled into a nearby gas station and ran back to where it was, and picked it up as it completed its journey across the road. That'll be an interesting bill to put into www.wheresgeorge.com
