Had a interesting moment at the supermarket tonight. I go to pay w/my debit card, type the PIN and it comes up as invalid. WTF? I had just used it at Target 20 minutes earlier. I think I'm so used to just typing the numbers that if I try to actually think of them, I freeze. This happened 3.fucking.times. until the register refused to take it at all. I never have cash on me and I don't have any credit cards so then I had go over to Citizens Bank counter (thank Christ it was before 7 p.m.) and write a check out to cash. I finally paid for my $40 worth of items and slunk home. I was so humiliated I wanted to cry.
I called my husband when I got home and we laughed about it but I'm still a little freaked out by it. I think I'll go to bed early and hope that the rest of my brains don't leak out of my ears.
