Posting a short note here to let you guys know I'm home from FWA.
Things were good, sales were slow (apparently for everybody) but we had a fun time regardless.
The only thing to go wrong this weekend was dessert at the Japanese restaurant we went to with animecat and co. for her birthday. Joe and I decided to try the "mochi cake with red bean sauce" that was on the dessert menu. When it came out, it was hot, and didn't really smell like cake but we decided to give it a shot anyway. One bite of it and we thought it was a mistaken order--- it tasted like shrimp and cheese. NOT the thing you want when your mouth is expecting dessert!! UGH. Joe asked the waiter if it was supposed to be like that, and sure enough, it was indeed the correct food. Nothing would get rid of the taste and I was even burping it the next morning. The cake was a lie. :(
Once again, the Sunday Night Pizza Jam was a success and a lot of fun. Hung out with a big group of people and just chatted, some of us drew, some played games, we just spent time with everyone. It was bigger this year than last, and we were in a different spot so we had more room to spread out. This might have to be a yearly occurrence since it seems like our friends had a good time. Got to meet some people I had met by proxy before but never actually saw in person.
Thanks to everyone that stopped by the table, said hi, helped with panels (either by co-hosting or heckling, hehe) and especially those of you that purchased things from our table. You all have helped to support and encourage us, and it's because of people like you that Joe and I continue to attend conventions and do what we do. Thanks for a great weekend!!! :)
