Final post, I promise! :P

Slinky's getting more weight on her, slowly but surely. I've been supplementing her food with Ferretone (vet says it's OK) and it's encouraged her to eat more, so she's gaining more weight. I've also been letting her walk around after medicating her; she's so slow I don't have to close the door to the room, just let her wander into the hallway/living room to stretch her legs. I'm glad to see she's gaining weight and getting more energy. So that's a plus.

Reo goes in to the vet tomorrow for his annual visit. He's getting his rabies shot and his heartworm test, all that good stuff. Will be addressing a little sore spot he's had on his back leg... we had him in the cone, and it healed over (he'd licked it open) but even though it looked like it was fully healed over, and for several days (he'd been in the cone over a week) one little bit of licking opened it back up again. At my wit's end, I got some of the non-sticky bandaging and put that over it... Reo doesn't bother the bandage so at least he is back out of the cone, but I wonder what the spot is all about. Probably another allergic reaction to something.

Finally, Kip. I hope I don't have to bring him in to the vet soon too. Tonight he was making a strange "mow" sound in his room, different from his normal meows he makes. It was the same sound cats usually make when they're forced to sit in their cat carrier in the waiting area of a vet clinic. I don't know whether to suspect a UTI - he only seems to make this noise in the evening (he did it last night, about the same time) but hasn't made the noise otherwise today or earlier yesterday. He did it last night again after we put him to bed though. I checked his litter box today and found fresh puddles, and no sign of any trouble (blockages or hairballs or anything like that) and he constantly has access to fresh food and water. Perhaps he makes the noise because he sees another cat outside on our walkway? Cats are like women I suppose, no one can ever fully understand them. ;)
