Owwie!
I banged my knee on the chair and it hurts. My bad knee has been so sore since I started doing regular DDR. Erf. :(
I have been trying to be productive today. Unfortunately "productive" doesn't mean working on art just yet - Joe's parents are coming to visit next week (eeeek!) so I am trying to get everything settled in!! I *finally* got the books all unpacked. And managed to find everything BUT my Florida birds book. ._. But I did find all of my art reference books, which is great because I was really needing my "nudes" book. Also unpacked all of our novels, most of which are fantasy of course, and managed to PACK the bookshelf FULL. Yeah, just by looking in that one room you can tell Joe and I are complete dorks. :D
In order to put the bookshelf up in the other room, I ended up having to take down the shelf with the dragons on it. :( Now the dragons are all sitting on the fold-out table in the center of the living room. Joe and I have plans to make special shelves for them using stuff we can get at the hardware store. They're neat, but they really haven't been done justice in the way they've been displayed lately.
I emptied out most of the boxes that had been in the second bedroom closet, and managed to break my nice little ferrets' ceramic bowl that I loved so much. :\ At least I still have another bowl for them.
So now that I have the other room mostly done I am going to start on the mess that is in the dining room area. It's got some things that came out of the kitchen pantry/closet when the new water heater was installed over there. It also has some Christmas stuff - tablecloth and table runner - that need to be washed and put away. I also have to put up the hooks for the dog's leashes and harness/halti, because that's cluttering up the small side-table right now.
There's so much I need to do yet! But I've been working since early this morning - Joe and I actually made breakfast this morning instead of just cereal! - and I'm going to take a break to take Reo down to the beach, since low tide is in about an hour and a half. Maybe I'll find those sharks' teeth. I'm addicted now. ;)
