All my troubles seemed so far away....

Sorry.

Yesterday, our reprobate chickens broke into the greenhouse.  This is out of bounds for two very good reasons:

1. Chickens destroy all living things.  They are not gardeners.
2. There are slug pellets in there to stop them eating our tomato plants.

RIP Mable the chicken. We have no idea what illness she had but she's been poorly for the past couple of weeks. Tonight, she died. I hope she's running around squawking in the chicken-run in the sky. Or wherever.

And before anyone asks, NO, we're not eating her!  *tuts*

Now, I have a horrid admission.  I know that I have at least one, if not several, people on my flist who keep chickens. I can't remember who you are.  Would you like to step forward and wave your arms about for me?
