Just as I was getting him out of my system. Just as I had decided that i only wanted to be friends and that "she" would be a better match for him.....he calls me!!!! He used such a pitiful voice (except when he said he couldn't tell me what to do). He thought i had snubbed him (I hadn't) and he was hurt (I could hear it). But how much longer can I stand, standing back and watching him flirt with other girls and keeping our relationship a secret? And how long can I go on pretending to be interested in other guys -- so that even my best freind wants him?
And then he calls and wants to know if we can start again. And I said -- yeah. All of this -- for a guy I know I can never marry -- unless some miracle occurres
