Uruha found his legs taking him to the dressing room, where he would sure to find Aoi. Thank god he and the manager were old friends so he could access every inch of the place, no restrictions.

Upon entering the dingy room, the smell of hairspray, cigarettes and alcohol greeted him, making him cough. The room was tiny in comparison to the rest of the club. It contained only the basic necessaries, a dressing table, mirror and a few chairs here and there. The manager was under the impression that anything the customers couldn’t see didn’t have to be glamorous in the least. Aoi too, it seemed.

By the time Uruha laid eyes on Aoi, the man had been stripped of his make-up and stage clothes. Adorned in a tee, skinny jeans, a pair of converse and various pieces of jewellery, he looked absolutely stunning in a completely different sense from on stage. Dressed casually, Aoi could still take Uruha’s breath away without trying. But Uruha had a feeling that Aoi could take his breath away with whatever he did.

“How long do you plan on gaping at me?” The smooth voice reached Uruha’s ears and snapped him out of his thoughts. He looked up to see Aoi smirking at him with an amused glint in his eyes.

“U-um, hey, I was just w-wondering if you wanted to get a drink with me?” Great, he’d just made a fool of himself. Bracing himself for the familiar sting of rejection, he discovered a fascination with his shoes.

“Sure, I’d love to,” Yes! Uruha inwardly cheered. “But I’ve got plans for tonight.” Ouch, that hurt more than he thought it would.

“Oh, that’s okay. Have fun.” Uruha forced the corner of his lips up into a tiny smile and turned to walk away when Aoi’s voice filled his ears once more.

“How about tomorrow we go out for lunch?” Uruha stopped dead in his tracks, not believing his ears. But he slowly turned around to meet the sly smirk on Aoi’s face.

“S-sure!”

And so the two men exchanged numbers.
