Obsession for Geeks

This link from Anime News Network covers some of Funimation's ADV and Geneon releases coming up in October. I'm excited about Kyo Kara Maoh, obviously, but also Shonen Onmyouji and Saiunkoku Monogatari, two series that I recently started to watch and really like. Yay, it's actually happening -- my favorite series are being continued! I still haven't seen the ending to Shonen Onmyouji, and while I will probably have to wait forever for each disc to be released, and then wait even longer for the box set, I now know I may be able to actually see the ending without spending hours looking on Veoh or YouTube for someone who uploaded it (which I can't find, btw).

Somehow, I missed a post about September's releases, but I know that Kyo Kara Maoh Season 2, Volume 7 is coming out September 2, because they have it listed on Amazon. Soon, my Kyo Kara Maoh collection will be complete! *rubs hands together in glee*

Also, the Ghost Hunt anime will be released in October, too, according to Right Stuf. Looks like the lame two-parter box set, where they split up a short series into two box sets in order to make it more expensive; however, I vastly prefer that to the single disc release. Screw that $25 a disc crap. That's not how I want to collect stuff.

Sometimes I feel like I should buy more of my anime from Right Stuf, because they always have releases listed ahead of Amazon and are devoted to anime and manga and all that, but . . . Amazon is just cheaper, most of the time.

And now that Funimation has picked up the slack and will be releasing so many shows that I want . . . I need the cheapest options that are still legal and result in me actually owning DVDs. And I need to save my money, 'cause I still don't have a job yet. Sigh. Obsessions are hard, aren't they?

anime, funimation is my friend, splash on a little obsession for geeks
