Going from Zero to Sixty with the Click of a Key

Oct 27, 2012 11:43

November approaches with great speed and we all know what that means. Yes, the writing challenge season almost upon us. Of course this means that the staff at St. Hap's Coffeehouse is busy dusting, gathering supplies and otherwise preparing for the appearance of all y'all. \o/!

The Plan
This year, as in previous years, I'll be doing mini_nanowrimo and wrisomifu - I think sign-ups are still open in both comms, so go and check them out. I also have a project due for yuletart this year. St. Hap's Coffeehouse will be open for the month - there will be daily check-ins and at least one comment fic free-for-all happening. Everyone's welcome to stop by and chat about their writing, regardless of the challenge. If you're working on holiday fics, chugging through a Big Bang, or using NaNo as an excuse to dust off your original novel, come tell us about it. Are you working on a pile of art projects or participating in a craft challenge like NaKniSweMo [that's knitting a sweater in a month - there's a group for this on Ravelry, I believe]? Bring your supplies to St. Hap's and make yourself at home! Not interested in signing up for a challenge? Well, Cheerleaders are always welcome. :)

The big change in St. Hap's this year is location. The coffeehouse's primary address is going to be on Dreamwidth this year. I'll be cross-posting to LJ still, so those of you with that as your primary journaling site can get the heads up on new posts, but all comments will be on Dreamwidth. The journal name's the same.

Are you thinking about participating? Please let me know, by clicking on a beverage choice below. Remember, St. Hap's is a casual place - you participate as much or as little as you want throughout the month. I do need to know if you're thinking of stopping by, just so I can make sure that you have access on dreamwidth. Thank you!

Poll Save Me a Seat a St. Hap's, would ya?

Thanks gang!

Are you excited? I am. :D
