Everything feels too bright, shiny like gas station jewelry, sun-lit yet dirty. Your woooorrrrrdddddssssss. I want them always in the world to be enjoyed, don't you dare stop.
instead, all around him people slide in and out of focus. Mikey reaches up to push up his glasses and the entire world heaves.
He makes the mistake of closing his eyes. I love how you make us feel what the characters feel. And also, ominous. *narrows eyes at you*
The Weave pulses around him, threads wavering, making him gasp and clench his fists. He sees gaps, all the cut and fraying threads, tangling into complex knots all around him. The undulating threads in his immediate vision make him seasick. I may have just snorted at myself for calling you a weaver in a previous comment. STILL TOTALLY TRUE, but ahahaha great minds apparently? ( ... )

Yeah, I had to do the Ohio shout-out. I don't know how well you know Northeast Ohio, but the venue I had in mind here is Blossom Music Center, in Cuyahoga Falls.

It does make me wonder if Jepha/ TU are drawn to My Chem due to them shining so brightly. I know Jepha just realises about Mikey here but that doesn't mean he wasn't drawn there.
I loved your descriptions when Mikey was feeling so ill, it very much felt like he was occupying space between two worlds or maybe more that the two realities were meshing together in a way they aren't supposed to at all.
Jepha taking charge was awesome, but Mikey thinking it was Pete for a moment :(
But Mikey can see how a couple of tugs on various threads - maybe six?- will pull it all into alignment. They always do pull together.
So much love for that whole scene, and Jepha's hackles comment to Bob.

I'm so psyched that he's turned out to be so popular!
One thing that stands out in this verse is how strong people are, sometimes in different ways, but the strength is a common thread that runs through them all.
I hadn't really thought about it that way, but you're right. People deal with a lot of crap in TS, but tend to come out on the other side stronger. I particularly like it when those folks would are consistently underestimated turn out to be strong.
It does make me wonder if Jepha/ TU are drawn to My Chem due to them shining so brightly.Jepha was VERY INTERESTED in My Chem upon first meeting - he is, after all, a collector of shiny souls. Also, Bob and Brian were his first. Since then, though, he has reconsidered his level of interest. This is despite the moths and flam jibe he made at Mikey ( ... )
