At first Evelyn had been worried. They landed in a place wholly unlike Cairo or anywhere in Africa. The air was clean and the sky clear, the weather temperate for the time being. With her bags at her feet and not a friendly face in sight Evelyn had no choice but to come up with her own plausible explanation. After all, evil undead beings certainly couldn't fly planes. Or, whatever it was that had brought her here. It certainly was the most unusual plane she'd ever seen! So, her hopes were high that perhaps the Medjai had given her a layover or had even contained the beast.

With no qualms about carrying her bags and keeping her valuables close to her heart, Evie headed inside. She helped herself to a room after over an hour of searching provided no luck in locating Rick, the Medjai, or even Jonathan. Oriental, she noted. What a pretty name! The room was lovely too. The interior was exotic and pretty, reminding her of Egypt in an odd way. Most things reminded her of her beloved Egypt though. Leaving her things mostly untended to, Evie crept out into the castle to search out her friends.

The longer she walked through the castle, the more confident she became. It certainly wasn't as dank as the old tombs they explored. There seemed to be only clean stone walkways and high vaulted ceilings. Light shone in freely, leaving her with a sense of comfort. Ideally, at no time, was there a risk of being buried in sand. Her pleasant mood only lasted so long. There were lots of places to go and nothing that seemed to explain anything clearly. She'd left her cellphone behind, having very little idea of what to do with it, so all she had was the hope of stumbling across a friendly face in the halls.

At this point though, if she didn't find Rick and the others soon she would be content to find anyone to give her some answers. Or a library! Oh how much she'd love to just read to unravel this mystery!
