Juliet never wanted to leave the warmth of bed. Rolling over just enough to look at the clock, she realized it was still too damn early to think about getting up and she curled into James’ side. He smelled good, and she splayed across him as she let herself drop off to sleep again.

She started dreaming and it was yellow flowers and sneaking kisses at DHARMA parties before it all went to hell. Kate and Jack were back on the island, James looked at Kate and Juliet was running off into the jungle.

If I never met you, then I never have to lose you.

The look on his face broke her heart but she was still sure she’d just been filling a vacancy until Kate made her way back and now she was there. Juliet was no longer needed. So she went with Jack’s plan and things went from bad to worse before she even had time to think about it. She was being dragged down with the chains digging into her until she was sure they would rip her in half. She’d never wanted it to be this way, and just when she thought she was going to die, James was grabbing her hand. The scaffolding was breaking and she knew he’d never let go of her even if that meant he’d go down with her. She knew that if he lost his grip, he’d never forgive himself, so she looked up at him, told him she loved him, and let go.

It wasn’t until she was falling and falling and falling that she realized he loved her more than anything. And then she hit the ground and she couldn’t figure out why she wasn’t dead. She felt bones break and could taste the blood in the back of her throat, so she started to cry. She was so fucking stupid; she had no idea what to do now but as she looked over to the side she saw the bomb.

Shit.

Shit.

Rolling over and feeling something internal shift, she cried out in pain before grabbing a rock. She hit it over and over again, because maybe he’d forget if she reset time and he wouldn’t ever crash on the island. "Come on you son of a bitch!" Then there was a flash, and she was bolting upright in bed with a scream, the sound echoing off the walls. She didn’t even wait to see if James was awake, she didn’t hear him, didn’t see him, just went into the bathroom and sank to the floor, drawing her knees up to her chest as she sobbed.
