So, do you remember how in my last entry* I talked about how I'm obsessed with the roll up the rim contest? Well, turns out we may need that Rav Four a little more now.
On Saturday Luke was driving to Regina Airport to catch a flight to Calgary for a meeting with his new boss and halfway between Moose Jaw and Regina the car completely died. Like the dash lights went out and everything and the engine completely shut off and he had to coast to the side of the road to park. We are getting the car towed tomorrow and then on Tuesday we'll go to Regina (provided we can find a way there) and figure out with the Toyota dealership what we're looking at in terms of repairs. So it's very frustrating, but at the same time we are both very thankful that this happened now and not at a time when we were flat broke, or during the winter, or on my way home late at night. We have signed up with CAA now too so we'll get a free tow to Regina which is awesome.
In other news, moving day is fast approaching. I have less than two weeks of work left and Luke has just over a week left of school yet. My parents are coming for a visit/helping us move trip on the 17th, right after Easter. So that will be fun. I'll get to see my Gabi and my Devon (my two youngest sisters for those of you who don't know).
Tonight was great. The daytime was spent sleeping, snuggling, and making a gazillion phone calls in regards to insurance and the car and taxes and moving...blah blah blah. But tonight my neighbour and friend Dave leant me his car and I made it into church (sans Luke...he had a paper) which was awesome, and then after some short Walmart errands (picking up my dance recital outfit and milk etc) headed over to my coworker Jody's place for a bbq. It was a lot of fun. three of my fellow servers and their respective boyfriends and children were there along with Jody, her son and her husband, and our bartender Dave. We hardly ever get to all hang out outside of work and Jody is absolutely one of the most comfortable people to hang out with. I love her. It was a good time. Anyways, i ended up returning the car to Dave's(my neightbour, not the bartender) place pretty late..say 12:30am...so i felt a little guilty and left him some extra gas money and a thank you note. Hopefully he's not offended!!
The most exciting (and almost unbelievable) news of the day: check out eagleglenapartments.com to view my future summer home in Murrieta California!! Let me know what you think...
Love you all! Muah!
