I woke up this morning in a tantrum of frustration. I had slept in having turned my alarm off in my half conscious state and fallen back to sleep almost an hour earlier. The time was 1:19 and I had to shower (believe me, i needed to!) and to leave the house within ten minutes to get to my red cross course. I was spazzing out and whining about not wanting to work tonight after Red Cross. Luke was amazing; talked a lot of sense at me, though I didn't want to hear it, chopped up some strawberries for me, made sure the car was defrosted for me and made me some tea in a travel mug. Then he gave me a hug, told me he loved me and urged me to get going. He also advised I call in sick tonight.

Friday night i had been tired at work and had taken a fair bit of coffee to keep me going, and then that night as a result, I was unable to sleep. I was completely a chatterbox. It cracked Luke up. He made me some "reverse coffee" known to most people as warm milk, to help me sleep, but even then i didn't fall asleep until 4:30am. I had to wake up yesterday morning at 7:30 to go to the first day of my Red Cross course that I'm taking for school. So on three hours of sleep I pressed through an 8 hour day of First Aid followed immediately by a 9.25hr closing shift at work. A closing shift because my co worker had a hangover...

But THANK THE LORD!!! I was able to avoid working tonight as they had scheduled five waitresses on, and the fundraiser going on was not incredible busy. So here I am, exhausted and ever so thankful to be home and not at work. It's been a long weekend...

love you guys.

thanks for listening to my complaints..

ps. I am going to write a letter to the local MP here about the beautiful conditions of the roads. Seriously, you should see Moose Jaw. There are CHUNKS of concrete missing from the roads (major downtown routes) all over downtown Moose Jaw. And the road lines both in town and on the highways in Saskatchewan are almost non existent. Really safe for those snowy, slushy, slippery, dark nights. Two thumbs up road guys!!!

pps. Something to ponder: Did you know that black people have a harder time floating and swimming than do caucasion people? No, I'm serious, because their bone mass is much denser in most cases. Take a look at the next Olympics for black swimmers...you won't see many.
