summary: jaejoong has so many flaws, and though he doesn't know why, everyone still finds him beautiful.

five ways jaejoong is like an angel and one way he's not,

i.
in changmin's eyes, jaejoong can be over protective, blunt, reckless and so very impulsive. he buys things (like that ceramic vase a few weeks back) that he doesn't really need, just because it looked 'beautiful'. jaejoong has a penchant for beautiful things: jiji as a kitten with eyes that pierced through your soul, the nine-hundred and ninety-nine roses he still kept as dried petals across the sink, a photo album of their smiles and a mix tape of their unrecorded songs, still lying somewhere beneath the depths of jaejoong's heart. changmin doesn't understand jaejoong's fixation with beautiful objects though, since he believes that jaejoong is far more beautiful than any other thing he buys, and jaejoong buys a lot.

jaejoong buys and buys until he spends it all, and then he borrows from changmin and buys even more. but in some way, jaejoong's beautiful like that. he buys and buys, but gives away so much his heart.

(and changmin would know - he's gotten a piece just soon after they've debuted, when the pressure seemed too much for him and jaejoong merely smiled in return.)

ii.
for junsu, jaejoong's difficult - like that high note he has to hit and that long note he has to pull. jaejoong's like the thistles along the park, so unrestrained and yet so difficult to break through. it took junsu quite awhile, he must admit, for jaejoong to start smiling at him without a guard in his eyes and a wall around his heart. and for jaejoong to start shouting at him, it took junsu pretty much forever. but junsu's fine with that, because beyond the thorns and beyond the glare that's built around jaejoong's heart, jaejoong's simply another junho in his eyes.

jaejoong's a crazy bastard, but nonetheless, he's a brother to junsu, and his guardian angel protecting him from the sidelines.

iii.
to yoochun, jaejoong is vulnerable and insecure like a flower in the midst of footsteps and a butterfly in a thunderstorm. though jaejoong doesn't really cry and is always the one to stand up for them, jaejoong's not that strong as he appears to be. jaejoong cries on the inside. he cries and cries until his bones melt and he is reduced to nothing but a blubbering mess upon yoochun's shoulders. in a way, jaejoong's like the fragile glass swan yoochun keeps on his side cabinet. but yoochun has an inkling that jaejoong's different from that in a way though, as jaejoong appears to already be in pieces from all his insecurities and failed conviction.

yoochun doesn't know, how a loving person like jaejoong can't find a way to love himself, but perhaps he is selfless like that, that makes everyone want to pour love into him even more.

iv.
yunho likes tracing jaejoong's wings on his back matted in soft blue words. it's as if they'll turn into pure white feathers if yunho keeps it up, as jaejoong's probably the purest person he's ever met. and with his soft cherry lips and huge forgiving eyes, yunho thinks he's not too far off from an angel either. especially when they are hugging in sunset and the warm orange illuminates the blonde in jaejoong's hair and the brown in his eyes, like a halo encircling his entire body. and although jaejoong screams too loud and takes things too hard, yunho thinks jaejoong's perfect, just the way he is.

because there's no one else that'll shoulder their soul, tvxq's soul, upon their own back.

v.
jaejoong thinks he's the ugliest, meanest and most horrible person that's ever graced this planet. sometimes, he can't look into a mirror without shuddering away; he's got too huge eyes, too pale skin and too sharp a nose that jaejoong thinks perhaps he isn't meant to be an idol at all. and the way his voice cracks when he sings a note too high grates against his ears and he bleeds from the inside all the time. he doesn't know how to sympathize or empathize with anyone and feels so very helpless when changmin, yunho, yoochun or junsu break down into tears and all he does is smile because that's the only thing he knows that can cheer them up. he feels it doesn't really work that well though, as they are still crying when jaejoong tries to smile. perhaps it is because he cries too, but he doesn't really know, because all jaejoong knows is that he doesn't deserve the love and he doesn't deserve the fame.

all he is after all, is another ugly, spoiled and filthy human being.

vi.
but to everyone's else, and to the fans, jaejoong's the reason why there is faith and there is strength in the world for them to move on. jaejoong's smile is like cassiopeia shimmering in the night, watching over their every move and blessing them with enough hope to last throughout the day and jaejoong's voice is like running water down their faces when all the tears dried up and their heart could bloom no further. because jaejoong's perfect and amazing and is all kinds of wonderful just the way he is, and all he needs to do, really, for them to continue their love for him is to just stay the same.

A/N: I wrote this like...last year for elly, and I have no idea why it never saw the light of day. School's been so terrible I don't think I have anytime to write anything new ): Nonetheless, I hope you guys enjoy this ! :))
