I didn't go to the drillers game tonight because I was tired and i didn't think anything that special would happen. Boy, was I wrong.

The 3rd name on that list caught my attention. Surely, that couldn't be THE Steve Colyer. Not the St. Peters local legend who has pitched 54 games in the major leagues. Surely, he can't be with the drillers. But alas, he is. He was drafted 9 years ago out of Fort Zumwalt South high School, the public high school closest to my house. I remember talking to friends who were in high school with him about his amazing stuff and how no one could hit him. Until Mark Buerhle hit the scene, Steve Colyer was the conquering hero of St. Charles County. I have to go and meet him so we can do our St. Peters handshake.
I finished my 80 page paper. Sure, it looks a lot like a 60 page paper but trust me, it's 80 pages. Anyway, just when I wanted to stop thinking about independent baseball, I got an invitation from the St. Louis TU alumni group inviting me to attend a Gateway Grizzlies game during the summer. St. Louis has 2 indie teams. The River city Rascals are right by my house but the grizzlies are at least an hour away. It'd be cool to see a game ther though. I've heard good things.
