the downpour of fire delayed so Lot could escape
It is 2:54 PM Wednesday afternoon here on a late Summer afternoon. One can already feel in the air Autumn approaching.
I got up this morning around 7:15 AM. My life is run by a clock. One can not escape Time. There is always clocks to tell you where you are at in your limited span of life here on this earth. I personally live in the light of Eternity. We are all going to spend eternity either in Heaven or in Hell. So now is the day of salvation.
When I got up Carol was getting ready to go for a morning walk. When she got back we talked about World History and prayed. After Carol and I prayed together she left to do errands. While Carol was gone I wrote in my paper diary and read, 'Plans For Holy War; How The Spiritual Soldier Fights, Conquers, And Triumphs' by John Arrowsmith.
When Carol got home from her errands at 11:24 AM I was still reading Arrowsmith and writing in my paper diary. Soon after Carol got home I left to visit a near by hardware store to get trimmer line and then visit next door to the hardware store a thrift store to look at their used books. I found these used books today at this local thrift store (all the money from this store goes to Christian World Missions)-

'A Furious Sky: The Five-Hundred-Year History Of America's Hurricanes' by Eric Jay Dolin
'A History Of Scotland' by Neil Oliver
'Hong Kong' Travel book by Jan Morris
'The Don Flows Home To The Sea' a novel by Mikhail Sholokhov Translated by Stephen Garry
'And Quiet Flows The Don' a novel by Mikhail Sholokhov Translated by Stephen Garry
When I got home I ate lunch, worked on figuring out how to feed the new trimmer line into our weed whacker. Carol left to visit an elderly lady from her church. So goes by Time.
Last night I mainly read last before going to bed a used book I bought yesterday titled, 'A Peace to End All Peace: The Fall Of The Ottoman Empire And The Creation Of The Modern Middle East' by David Fromkin. I have another book in my library by Fromkin titled, 'Europe's Last Summer: Who Started The Great War In 1914?'.
I will close to do yard work and wait for the end of Time/The Second Coming of Christ Jesus the King of Glory.
"[7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
[8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
[9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
[10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
[11] Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
[12] That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Thess. 1:7-12
