Another run-in with Lockdown was not something we particularly needed. Then again, neither was dealing with Starscream. The lunatic escaped the Elite Guard cruiser a short while ago and Prowl, in a rather unusual moment of shortsightedness, decided to try and pursue him. Somehow, he got mixed up with Lockdown, who was also looking for Starscream in order to collect a bounty from Megatron. I tell ya... You gotta love how 'Cons operate. They hold a grudge forever and pay others to do the backstabbing.
Prowl fell victim to "mod mania" of sorts, convinced for a short while that upgrading himself would make him all that much better. It's not the sort of materialistic behavior I would have expected from a mech who spends as much time in meditation and rigorous training as he does, but still...he is a bit young. Everyone goes through phases. I also half wonder if he's unconsciously still coping with something we all have been for some time now - losing Eleven. We were supposed to be better than that. Maybe Sentinel Prime's dubbed us all a bunch of worthless, third-rate rock busters, but we know how to look after our own. Losing a team member... It's not something you just get over in a day or two. And for Prowl, I know it was a little more personal. He was Eleven's hand-to-hand mentor as well as her student. Really, that in mind, who would pass up the chance to be stronger, faster and better? Nothing wrong with self improvement. You just can't let it consume you and cloud your common sense.
