I love that each sentence people say isn't equal to another. One sentence could declare a love for meatballs, while another declares a love for a lifetime. How amazing is it that we aren't limited to middle-of-the-road phrases all the time. Our tongues do not only speak of the day-to-day. We have the power to build, conquer, and destroy with mere words released from our lips. Some sentences carry more risk than others. They force the speaker to bear himself open to his audience, but as in most areas of life, with more risk comes greater reward upon success. A person can meander all through life speaking of nothing but trifling anecdotes, simple details, and petty declarations, but no one but our own self is stopping us from speaking truly great things. Or truly common things in great ways. There is no reason why any one person cannot say very wonderful things on a very regular basis.
A tongue and lips and a mind to use them should not be wasted. I have certainly forfeited many a moment to speak to those around me, and looking back, I see the loss was great.
