Fic - Your Love Is My Muse - Jared/Jensen - R - Epilog + Thanks
Part One | Part Two
Jared was working his usual shift at Tommy’s. He hadn’t seen Chad or Jensen since one and a half week ago. It was getting to him. He simply missed them, especially Jensen.
Whiping the tables he heard someone enter.
“We’re opening in an hour.” He said automatically, like being on autopilot.
“Aw, I thought I would get one of those delicious burgers” Chad laughed as he sat down on a chair by the bar.
Jared wheeled around, he couldn’t believe that Chad just strolled in.
“What are you doing here?” He asked, making his way over to his friend.
“What are you doing here?” Chad shot back and leaned against the bar.
“Working? What else?”
“You know I meant it differently. Why are you here?” Chad asked again. “You should go to him”
Jared stiffened. Right, yeah. Just go to him? After what he’d said?. He sighed.
“Listen, Chad. I’m sorry for what I’ve said and for how I’ve acted, but I don’t think he would accept it.”
“You really are an idiot” Chad laughed. “And you are blind as well.”
Chad held up his hand, stoping Jared from answering.
“He’s leaving today.” Chad said. “And he’s miserable. You have no idea how it was to listen to him whining and crying. Horrible.” He sighed over dramatically. “And if you are worried about what I think: I’m okay with it.”
Jared smiled. He never doubted that Chad would have any problems with them, but he wasn’t sure if there was still a ‘Jared and Jensen’ to have problems with.
Chad’s expression went serious. “Go and talk to him. Don’t do it for me, do it for yourself.”
With that he got up again, waved Jared goodbye and left as fast as he had appeared.
Jensen was leaving today, at least he should go and say goodbye.

Stepping unto the soft grass brought back memories. And when he saw Jensen standing there at them same spot where they had been the last time, Jared felt sad.
Making his way over to Jensen, he wasn’t sure how to start, so Jared just jumped in.
“Are you really leaving today?” he asked unsure.
Jensen turned and stared at him. The brightness of his eyes gone.
“Yeah” he whispered and Jared could hear the soreness from all the crying. “Are you here to tell me you’re happy I’m leaving?”
“No!” Jared said, “I’m here to say I’m sorry.” And that was the only thruth he could tell.
“I miss you” he went on and watched how Jensen’s expression brightened.
“Miss you, too”
“I’m so sorry for what I’ve said. I was confused.” Jared almost whispered, stepping closer to Jensen, “But not anymore.”
“No?” Jensen asked.
“No. I know what I want.” Jared smiled and he felt the warmth coming back.
“What?”
“Us.” Was all Jared could manage before he wrapped his arms around Jensen.
“You sure?”
Jared didn’t answer, because all he could do, was to press their lips together.

Jared laughed as he watched Jensen tease Barney with the ball he held high above the poor little dog. Juliet cheering for Barney to get the ball.
Watching from the outside, Jared realised that this was his family now. Jensen, Juliet and their little puppy, Barney.
It’s been a year since his sister left out of the blue. A new job, new boyfriend, but no time for her daughter. Jared could only shake his head over this. Still hearing the words of his sister had almost screamed at him, that he should support his family, and then she was the first to leave them.
After they had settled in as a small family they were now, Jared had gotten a letter from a college he had applied to so long ago. The very same a college that had offered him a scholarship back then. A scholarship, which he had declined, doing it; all to support his family.
“Hey, grumpy.” Jensen laughed and wrapped his arms around Jared. “Don’t you wanna play with us?”
“Nah, I like watching my family better” he smiled and pulled Jensen down for a quick kiss.
Family, how the meaning of this word could change that easily.
