ok, so I'm of the opinion that my last entry, while not entirely sucking, could be vastly improved. and, no, this isn't some sort of false modesty, you're-your-own-worst-critic sort of insecurity. this is me reading my own work after a day away from it and wanting to write a second draft.
specifically:
- The pattern of repetition should not carry over into the second paragraph, it's really overused and it makes for a frustrating sense of rhythm.
- Word choice revisions on paragraphs 1, 4, and 7.
- I need to describe what a papasan frickin' is
- you get the picture
However, here's my minor moral quandry. I don't want to edit my journal entries. I need to keep them here in their pristine, yet imperfect, form to record whatever it was that was going through my head at the time. So I'm weighing a couple of options ... either
a) say "screw it" and hit the Edit Entries button
b) create another section in my ultranet site for revisions and put a link to the finished version in the journal entry.
c) say "screw it" and just live with the imperfections, there are more important things in life to worry about.
