(no subject)
I have had this journal for 6 1/2 years now! Damn. I don't make enough posts to really show for 6 1/2 years either. I have been toying with the idea of making a blog over on blogspot lately. Is it better over there? I don't really see it as being any different than a LJ with all public entries, but I could be wrong...?
Anyway. For now, I think I'm going to stay here. Because. I'm a creature of habit. I am going to update this thing more often.
- This weekend was pretty all right. Friday night I went on a laundromat date with Jessy, and yikes! They raised the prices! It now costs like 7 bucks to do 2 loads of laundry!! It's cheaper to just stay home and use the laundry room in my building. But that's not as fun as sitting in a tacky laundromat and gossiping with your best friend. Saturday night, we had people over. It was really nice to see Andy and Nick and Stacey and Jen, and of course Theresa and Dale came by too. (Wait- writing that last bit made it sound like they are a couple- they are not. Hehehe.) That was the first time since we had people over in our new place, except for July 4th, but everyone was tired and sleepy that night.
- Have I written about the new place? I think briefly a while ago. We LOOOVE it. I know I posted pictures on facebook. I don't really feel like posting them again right now though... sorryz. I have a couple of projects lined up, so I'll post them a little bit at a time as the place becomes more personalized, ya know? But, I'll talk about it! Basically, it's got a whole lot of original-to-the-building things in it. Like the bathroom. You know in the movie, Amelie, how her bathroom is all vintagey tile, with the one cracked tile piece near the floor where she finds the treasure? We have one of those! Except, there's no treasure and it doesn't come out. Oy. Now I want to post pictures. I'll wait though.
- I'd like to find a bust (I think that's what you call it?) You know, those womanly body shaped things that adjusts and you can sew on them? I'd really like to have one of those. I never see anything like it on Craigslist.
- I do enjoy living with my boyfriend. He does dishes! And he cooks me food! He also plays lots of videos games, like for hours and hours at a time. But that's okay, because I do things like play the Sims or read or paint for hours and hours at a time. Haha, want to hear something MORTIFYINGLY EMBARRASSING? His dad totally gave him the sex talk on Saturday. At the age of 31. 31!! I'm not going to divulge everything that was said, but I think I'll be going to "visit family" for the holidays this year, mmmkay? Oh jeebus. Seriously, I about just DIED when Paul told me. Anyway...
- I have graduated on up to being Development Director for the radio station. That means I have to be there for 10 hours a week. Not too bad, but it also means that I have to restructure my schedule like, completely. School will be starting in 3 weeks. Things are going to be BUSY. I'm looking forward to it though.
- Hmm.. two more things: I want to do something fun before summer ends! I feel like I've been moving/fretting about moving/spending money on crap pertaining to moving/moving/moving/moving this entire damn summer, and can you guess? I'm freaking sick of moving already. So... something fun? Number 2: I get paid this week! Yay.
