Day 2 of Outward Bound
We woke up, and guess what. the sun was in our face. (the sun woke us up) I decided to take out my braids, so there I am, the only one in the shelter awake. It was great. I was taking out my braids, while Ariel opens one eye and kinda looked at me. I sat there with James, Ariel, Mandy, Lizzy talking until Pete, and Jen woke up and gave usw preparation for our granola breakfast. Rob at the majority of my meals this weekend. The granola wasnt that good, but it was ok. After we ate our breakfast, we got changed, did a stretch circle, and went to the Apine tower. (which was a 65 foot tower made of telelphone poles, and hass random stuff on it, to get to the top. such as, a triangle platform at the top) we met up with the other group, and got to use an outhouse, that was solar, "the waste was getting decomposed rght there" (but we think it really was just an excuse for solar panels) and I handed out pumps of my antibacterial hand sanitizer. ( may make germs reproduce, but it makes you feel clean!) We climbed, and I got to the first level, and I found out while up there that I was terrified of heights, even if we were harnessed in. Kara got to the top level, so did like veryone besides me. Meghan and I got to the same level, cuz we are both terrified of heights, but its ok, cuz meghan is awesome! After the Alpine tower we ate lunch, and bonded with the group. that was fun. We had powered humus (chickpea's) and cheese sandwiches. (did i mention all but 5 people in the group were not vegetarians?) then after we ate we tried doing challeneges with a blue tarp, and eventually we did. We then went to the aditorium, and hung out with the other group, had a group discussion on steeotypes, made posters about stereotypes, etc., then we "chilled" for a while, and Lily, Kara, Erica, (someone else, i think jenny???) and myself, got into a massage line, cuz we were all in pain. it was great. After that we ate dinner, and made a magazine. My group was Ariel, Kara, Erica, Jill, Andrew, Heather, and I forget who else (sorry if i forgot you!) our magazine was call "proud to be queer" (i think) subtitle"has straight life got you down?" it was really cute. Andrew did a really good job. After that we went to bed, we were so exausted. On the way back to camp I talked to rob a lot. did you know he's really cool
