Fic Progress: bunny head count
You know, it's been awhile since I found myself overwhelmed with plot bunnies that I want to write, but I'm there now. I'm enjoying it, even if my brain is going, "But...but...I want to write them all! Why do I have to work, again? How am I going to get all these done???"
Four of them are required. Those would be my ncis_flashfic response for this round (due Tuesday, and I finally got a bunny today, thank goodness), my ncis_flashfic response for the amnesty (I know exactly what I want to write, but it's a bit long, so I'm not sure I'll manage it, but I have until January 1), an ncis_tinsel prompt response (due January 1), and my seasonalmarvels gift fic (final due date January 20).
I'm a little nervous about the seasonalmarvels gift, if only because it's being written for someone and I'm always nervous that the person I'm writing for won't like it. I have a couple of vague ideas for what to write, which is good, because I think the story is going to be longer than I usually write for gift fic, so I want to get started soon.
On top of those stories, I'm currently working on the Steve/Tony bonding fic, which is taking longer to write than expected. It's not that I'm not inspired, it's just that I haven't been putting in as much writing time as I should. I've only been doing a couple hundred words a day. I'm only about a quarter of the way through it and it's not a huge bunny--probably about 50 KB.
Then there's a short PWP that I got the bunny for after a series of comments with harmonyangel about whether or not one could write sex from Steve's POV. I'll probably write that, even though I'm not so sure I can afford the time, just because it's light and fast and has sex and I like it. *g*
And, of course, there's the Massive, Huge 2.0verse bunny. Which really needs a proper name, if only for easy of reference in my fic progress posts.
Oh! And I can't forget, I still want to write the Tony-genderswitch bunny. Although it might die a quiet death, because as much as I like it, if I write the 2.0verse bunny I'm betting I'll never get to the genderswitch. Of course, I could write the genderswitch bunny first...or at the same time, for when I need a break from angst and Steve and Tony being physically separated for much of the story.
If you want final proof that my muse is a sadist, guess what else she keeps whispering to me? "You're feeling so creative! You should work on some original fiction, too. That ____ story idea you came up with still works for you, doesn't it? You don't have to start the novel that you haven't completely worked out the details for! ....Yet."
