Am clearing out my games collection. So many games that just suck or that I just don't play anymore. Oh man. Now that I look at them, I just notice how... bad my ability to judge games is. Seriously

Shadow Dragon takes a while to get going, but I think once it does, it's pretty good. Agree to disagree I guess! KH on the other hand. . . nope. Not enjoyable for me in the least. KHII, though, I had some fun with that, though the story just frustrated me :x
I can't get into Dragon Quest for the same reason. Chrono Trigger. . . I tried really hard to get into it, but yeah, same. (That, and I really don't like silent protagonists in most RPGs. The only exception is Pokemon 8D;)
I dunno. I've played Shadow Dragon until chapter 10 or something. If it hasn't piqued my interest until then, well, the game is not for me. It was a terrible idea to buy KH anyway, because I do not like Disney (anymore. Kinda liked it when I was little). I just wanted to kick Goofy and Donald out, because 1. I dislike them and 2. they are horrible in battle.
Oh gawd, Chrono Trigger. I was contemplating if I should sell it as well, but mayyyyyyybe I'll want to give it a third chance in the future. I'll have to think about that more. I have no problem with silent protagonists; I'm so accustomed to them that talking protagonists feel weird at times. XD
Shadow Dragon didn't really grab me until Ch 13. I mean, I liked the gameplay itself, but character-wise, it wasn't until 13 that I really sat up and paid attention. OTOH, if you're not enjoying the gameplay, the remainder of the plot probably won't make you like it any better.
Yah, I mean, if I'm interested in the story I could just read the game script. That would be free.
It's the same with the Percy Jackson book; it only truly picked up around chapter 14/15, which is really too late. Sometimes a slow introduction works, but if the reader wants to put aside the book after chapter 5 because nothing happens (or nothing interesting happens), then that reader will probably put the book away. Idk, idk. Very problematic.
