A lot of FE8's art is inconsistent in general. Entire outfits were changed from in game scenes to official art, after all. I think given that major characters like Tana got hit with that, beard inconsistency on a secondary villain is probably among the least concerning XD;

Yep! Compare this to what she's wearing here. She's got a breastplate, and her boots are totally different.

Wait, when does the first pic happen? I think I haven't seen it in-game (or I just forgot), but since they're all together in a park/garden I assume it's either before the in game stuff or after. And while the others seemingly have the same clothes (you can't really see Vanessa´s and you only see Syrene´s breast plate, which I doubt she has many different), it's not completely impossible for her just to wear something different. That said, inconsistency is very possible as well.

Eh, in a game like FE where outfit changes are. . . pretty important, I'd say it's an error/design change. Definitely more "wtf" than a beard change.

I'm pretty sure that cutscene happens when you recruit Syrene (whose outfit was also apparently changed), soooo. Not certain. I'll let you know when I see it ingame; it's definitely there I think.

Not necessarily! If it is after you recruit Syrene, it could be within the castle they just conquered. And given that Innes' outfit is completely unchanged? Yeeeeah.

But yeah overall, FE8, inconsistent all over the place, in far more noticeable ways than beards.

But they look kinda too carefree for that to happen in the castle, doesn't it? Eh, if Innes has just come from training. Though the thing that seems more illogical is why is Syrene there drinking tea with them? That pic doesn't make sense anyway.

NO NO. NOTHING BUT BEARDS. BEARDS EVERYWHERE. That said, I also noticed that Fado´s nose looks different in his art and in game portrait. ... Yes, I only notice beards and noses...

Oh, that's just one of the pictures shown during the credits, so there's probably no specific time when it happened? Though you could try to guess, of course. M-maybe that's what you're actually trying to do. :'D

But re: inconsistencies, it's not only FE8 -- other FE games have them as well! I think it might be because the in-game portraits and the official art is usually drawn by different artists, though I know I've seen at least one issue like this when comparing actual official art before.

Hm, interesting. I'm probably just too inattentive of these things in general (not when it comes to the bros, though 8D /is biased as hell)
